Janay Willson had taught English at Bay City High School for nine years. She was suspended from her post on October 31st, pending the outcome of an investigation.

Willson was booked on a bond of $40,000 and has been accused of sexual assault.

Worse, police are awaiting the results of a paternity test on one of Willson's two children.

According to members of the community, rumors had been circulating several years about an alleged affair.

Bay City Independent School District Superintendent Richard Walton said, "It hurts so much to think that we would have anybody that would break that public trust."

Duh. We have been reporting case-after-case of this type of criminal behavior during the past few days, so one more doesn't come as much of a surprise.

What we would like to know is this: Why are so many teachers committing these crimes against their students? What has happened to the system that has made it so obviously broken?
