California Middle School Teacher Accused Of Sexually Abusing Two Students

Sarah Suzanne Bench-Salorio, age 28, of Santiago Charter Middle School, of Orange, California was taken into custody Tuesday and charged with having sexual relations with two 13 year-old boys who were her students. Bail has been set at $1 million; she is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow.

I hope to god that this lady is innocent of the charges.

As a California public school teacher, I am thoroughly disgusted with the thought of all these monsters preying on the children of our communities, and the continued loss of the public's trust in it's educators.

Here at the 'Wonks, we have reported several incidents (including one just yesterday) of teachers sexually abusing children in the last few months. The questions that we ask are these: Are the crimes occurring more frequently than in the past? OR Is it that victims are now more likely to come forward than in the past?

What on earth is it going to take to get these disgusting little creatures to leave our children alone?
