Michigan School District Cancels Course On The Bible

Here is a story from The Saginaw News that we here at the 'Wonks guarantee will provoke some thought, one way or another.

Apparently the public high school in Frankenmuth, Michigan, offered a course on the Christian Bible.

Last week, Frankenmuth Superintendent Michael Murphy cancelled the course, saying that it wasn't within the school district's curricular standards. The school board confirmed Murphy's actions.

As one might guess, the move sparked quite a bit of controversy and debate from both sides of the issue.
