Filed From The Luxor Hotel, Las Vegas: Fun With Pipes

Percussion
The LadyWonk and myself went out last night and saw these guys. They are called, "The Blue Man Group." If you haven't caught the act, I recommend that you do. Its a fast-paced, fun, and interactive show.

They are billed as, "Three Enigmatic Male Figures," which is as accurate a description as any that may be given to them. Without giving away the show, I can say that what they do is make excellent music out of a variety of everyday objects, involve the audience in unusual ways, and leave you with a vaguely uneasy feeling about what awaits us in the future. Think of it as Metropolis meets The Drumline.

All of this is done without a single word of dialogue.

After viewing the performance, you won't be able to think of plumbing, crepe paper, marshmallows, bubble gum, and Captain Crunch in quite the same way as before. If you go, whatever you do, don't arrive late. Should you do so, you may very well become a part of the show in a very unexpected way.
