The Spellings Report: We're Disappointed

We had always heard that The House of Spellings was a wonderful gravy train place to work, with an abundance of well-paying sinecures careers to be had for the politically-well-connected.

The
living is large, the salaries are good, there are no cranky parents with which to contend, and last, but certainly not least, there are lots of opportunities for exotic travel.

Or so we thought.

It looks as though we may have been mistaken after all. The Institute for the Study of Public Policy Implementation
reports that in terms of employees' job satisfaction, The Department of Education ranks 28th out of 30 government agencies. Only The Department of Homeland Security and The Small Business Administration have lower rankings.

Heh. Follow the above link. By scrolling-down and clicking on the name "The Department of Education," one can see that among Spellings' 4070 employees the annual employee turnover-rate is only 6.9%. Look's like they're pretty happy, after all.
