Hurricane Katrina: Some Good News

I just had a conversation with my father via long-distance telephone. My first cousin Jerry and his family, who lived in New Orleans, managed to escape the city. After a number of adventures, they have taken up temporary residence in their mountain cabin.

Apparently, their house in Metairie was not flooded.

Their two children have enrolled in a local public school that is located in Walhalla, South Carolina.

His job is gone, but the company for which he is employed (surgical supplies) is trying to see if it may be possible for him to work out of their Atlanta office.
