Teachers Need More Of This Kind Of Thing

We have learned that in Bennington, New Hampshire, A ski resort named Crotched Mountain has designated February as "Teacher Appreciation Month" and is showing it's appreciation for K-12 teachers and school site administrators throughout the month. The AlpineZone News reports :

Crotched Mountain Ski & Ride is honoring teachers and school administrators during the month of February by offering complimentary lift tickets on Sunday mornings.

Teachers and school administrators in grades K-12 arriving at the mountain between 9am and 12noon on Sundays will receive one full-day lift ticket valid for skiing/snowboarding that day. Teachers are invited to take advantage of this offer on any one Sunday during the month.

"Our community teachers are doing a lot more than simply teaching – they're organizing ski trips, taking kids outdoors, and we want to say ‘thank you' to all those that are introducing winter sports to their students."

Crotched Mountain is currently offering free field trips to 6th grade classes. Grades 4 and 5 are $15 each, all other grades are $25 each. All field trips include lift ticket, rental equipment, ski/snowboard lesson, lunch and an educational session. "

Now, if I could just convince one of those airlines into designating the month of February as Teacher Appreciation Month...
