They're Talking School Safety

The President has convened a summit on violence in our schools:

U.S. Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings joins President Bush, Mrs. Laura Bush and U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to host a Conference on School Safety today at the National 4-H Youth Conference Center in Chevy Chase, Md.

The conference will consist of three panel discussions and bring together teachers, parents, administrators, law-enforcement officials and other experts to discuss best practices and lessons learned about school safety and encourage communities to work together to help protect America's children.
