This Should Be Obvious

In Houston, they're having to spend and additional $414,000 to hire additional security to keep locally-raised students and Katrina evacuees from tearing one another to pieces in the high schools.

Here's an alternative: Why not expel those individuals who refuse to keep their hands to themselves?

Maybe the administration of the Houston Independent School District should concentrate its efforts on making high schools a place where young people can prepare to lead productive lives.

They can begin by separating law-abiding students from the criminal element that would obstruct the school from accomplishing this critical mission.
