I thought that Monday would be a good day to drop in on Mrs. Joanne Kaye's Art Class, which is taught at Sandra Day O'Connor High School, near Phoenix.

It's too bad that this year our junior high here in California's "Imperial" Valley downsized both our Art and Shop teachers and used the savings, in part, to hire a remedial math teacher.

Our school's home economics program was eliminated about 4 years ago.
