The Governator Vs. California's Chief Educrat

My boss, State Superintendent of Public Education Jack O'Connell, shares his feelings about Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger:

"I am personally offended that the Governor has resorted to calling me and other education leaders 'liars,' rather than honestly discussing how we are going to fund our schools. His current attempt at revisionist history is outrageous."

"Governor Schwarzenegger needs to level with the people of California and either make the argument why ranking 42nd nationally in school funding is acceptable or show leadership, beyond mere rhetoric, on how he is going to truly invest in schools."

Maybe next time, the State Superintendent will tell us employees how he really feels about the Governor.

This type of squabbling and name-calling sets such a good example for the kids...
