The Disgusting Little Creatures Department: Ward Churchill Update

In yet another update of our series about the goings-on of Ward Churchill, (background here) it seems as though this Fake Native American continues gallivanting about the country collecting speaking fees and drawing protests. This time it was yesterday, in Monterey, California:

Students at California State University, Monterey Bay are preparing to protest the arrival of controversial speaker, Professor Ward Churchill.

Churchill is scheduled to speak on campus Monday night. He is the Boulder, Colo., professor who's under fire for comments he made about victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

The professor compared the victims to Nazi war criminals, saying they were targets because of bad U.S. foreign policy.

Many students at CSUMB are angry about the arrival of Churchill.

"It makes me really upset that someone who hates this country so much can be invited to speak at our school. And quite frankly, I'm disgusted to even be a part of the school," said College Republicans spokesman Joseph Ramos.

Ramos and several other students plan to protest Churchill's appearance by holding a candlelight vigil and reading the names of victims from the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

Police say they will have extra patrol on staff during the speech.
